These put Godiva to shame. Creative, rich chocolate, expertly crafted. With flavors to match. And so rich, you'll be amazed at how much flavor can be packed into something so small. Pick your favorite. The owner was so helpful and generous with her time. If only Iftar were closer and calorie free. Sigh.

Absolutely delicious chocolates. Unique flavors and beautiful presentation. The Buddah was probably my favorite but each one that we had was amazing. TIp: if you get them in a bag instead of a gift box, they give you a discount.

Went to the chocolate tasting today and it was amazing. Props to the young lady who was working today too- she was super cool and welcoming. I would highly suggest the passion fruit if you like white chocolate and tart filling... it was so good. I'm drooling thinking about it.

What a treat! Our friends who live locally introduced us to this shop. The balsamic caramel chocolate was my absolute favorite! What are unique idea! The coconut white chocolate truffle was also excellent! Also enjoyed the Salted cardamom truffle but did not order that on my second trip back in. Also enjoyed the boysenberry filled chocolate. Nice to try flavors that are not as common and a larger chains. Definitely would recommend anyone to pop in here!

This chocolate will become the only chocolate you can eat for the rest of your life! Seriously, nothing compares. The owners, Jill and Jean-Michel are clearly hardworking and passionate local business owners. This is the type of business that makes our community unique. Definitely stop in and be prepared to be blown away. I can't even tell you my favorite because it seems to constantly change. Then depending on the weather you must indulge in a gelato or hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is rich and decadent. Mmmmm.

Absolutely the best quality chocolate ever. They have an amazing assortment sure to please even the most fussy individual. I am in love with their passion fruit white chocolate, their rum banana and vegan coconut dark chocolate. They are so rich and pure that you don't have to over indulge yourself. Nothing better than great chocolate. Their staff is very friendly patient and helpful thank you. You guys rock.

Excellent tasting and beautifully decorated chocolates. One of the pieces I chose was their infamous Buddha Beauty. It had a dark chocolate shell that's filled with lightly salted soft caramel. The employees were nice and we were given free samples.

I love having a slick coffee, gelato and chocolate place on state st, been here many times over the years. Recently I tried their afogatos and am hooked, it's a little scary :) Their chocolates are an experience and well worth it. This is a great place to visit if you're in town for a day.

I was very happy with my experience at Chocolats du Calibressan. I purchased four truffles and a cookie to eat in their shop and took a seat at the counter overlooking the street. The chocolates were each extremely fine and well flavored. I would compare them favorably to any other high end truffles in Santa Barbara. I especially liked that I got a little truffle/menu card with my plate so I could browse their selections afterward and be better prepared next time to make appealing selections. I realize this probably means they don't change their flavors very often, but the ones I tried were very good and I wouldn't mind being able to expect they be there each time I visit. Prices are fair for the quality, service, location and décor. The young woman that helped me was very enthusiastic, upbeat and professional. The shop was clean, well lit and was not cramped inside. It has a very nice atmosphere and feel. The location is easy to find right on State street and there is some street parking nearby.

This chocolate shop is so charming, with chocolates and gelato. The packaging is beautiful. And they have various sourced chocolates and truffle that are heavenly!

I've been chocolate tasting before with my mom and sister (The chocolate was paired with hot tea). I was in the area and had the opportunity to come to Chocolats du Calibressan for a chocolate tasting and couldn't pass it up! On their website they offer a Chocolate Tour and Tasting which are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 3 PM and you must RSVP by the Wednesday prior to the event. The tours last 1 hour, include a complimentary glass of champagne and are $25/person. We were with Captain Jack's Santa Barbara Tours and this was one of our stops. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by Jill (her husband Jean-Michel is the talent behind the scenes.) Each of us got to pick any 3 chocolates from the display cases and they also provided us with sample chocolates so we could taste the various kinds. For my 3, I picked La Arcada Turtle (milk chocolate ganache with "Cajeta" Mexican milk caramel in milk chocolate turtle shell, Balsamic (salted Balsamic vinegar in a dark chocolate shell), and the Rocher (praline and milk chocolate, rolled together in caramelized diced almonds and milk chocolate). All were so delicious and I also learned a lot about the art of chocolate making (even down to how to wash the molds). I'm a chocolate lover and this place was like heaven to me.

Oh yum. I walked in here as if my feet were powered by some unknown force. Chocolates were beautiful!!! I tried several and my favorite was the passionfruit caramel- just divine. The coffee was good, but the chocolate! They also have terrific marketing chocolates- that can be made with your business' logo which are very elegant. Yummy treat and adorable spot ( like most things in SB). Next time I will plan to bring some home. Oh- they also have gelato! :-)

Three months in SB, eight visits to Chocolats du Calibressan. They are that good. I love these chocolates. The tastes are simple and delightful, and simply delightful. They release new flavors and designs every so often but maintain a large variety of perfected chocolates. My personal favorite is the passionfruit and anything ganache related. I've gotten custom boxes as gifts for my wife, my family, my friends, and my boss. Gift boxes, ribbon, and bag are free of charge and look really classy. A box of chocolates from Chocolats du Calibressan was always well received! The staff is incredibly patient, helpful, and kind. They will sometimes provide samples or even an extra piece of truffle for their regular customers. Remember to use the SB axxess card for the first time!

I love love love these gourmet chocolates. I'm not a big fan of dark chocolate, only milk chocolate, but these gourmet chocolatiers have me hooked on EVERYTHING!! My favorites are the Buddha shaped chocolate and the La Arcada caramel turtle. I have to get one of each every time I go by. Recently, I was trying to use up some deals on my Axxess card so I popped in to get 25% off my purchase. With a deal like that I couldn't only buy two little chocolates. So I bought a few extra fun pieces and also discovered their hot chocolate lollipops!! The next day at work I made myself a fancy cup of morning hot cocoa and not only was it fun, it was also DELICIOUS!! I loved that the chocolate melted all the way down and didn't leave any on the stick. Don't want fine chocolate to go to waste!! Next time I pop in, I'll be sure to purchase one of each flavor... or more!

Carpinteria and Santa Barbara are lucky to have Chocolats du Calibressan! As an avid lover of all things chocolate, I've tried all kinds of chocolate from around the world and from many boutique's. Expensive chocolate, cheap chocolate, rare chocolate, you name it! CDB is by far the best I've had. You can tell each piece is made with love and care. The flavors are outstanding and the combinations are amazing! In truth, I can't pick a favorite because they are all so good and I love every piece I try! Such exquisite chocolate! So happy I live right down the street

Absolutely divine chocolate, skillfully made and beautifully presented!

The best chocolate I have ever had! I bought 45 chocolates to give away as gifts when visiting my sister in Carpenteria. I ended up eating 30 of them before I even made it home. My husband and I are already figuring out ways to make it back out there for the holidays to make another "gift" purchase.

Jean Michel is an incredibly talented chocolatier. His creations are a sensory masterpiece, the designs are creative and elegant, yet fun, the aroma makes your mouth water in anticipation and the taste is unbelievable; each piece is absolutely luscious.
